Travis Pointe Country Club has an excellent Junior Golf Program. Juniors participate in supervised golf on specified mornings, playing 2, 5, 9 or 18 holes dependent upon their ability. As their proficiency improves and their scores drop, Juniors progress to the next level. DRESS CODE:

GIRLS: Slacks, skirts or shorts (no more than 4” above the knee) are acceptable. Collarless shirts must have sleeves & sleeveless shirts must have a collar.

BOYS: Trousers or shorts (shorts no more than 4” above the knees are acceptable). Shirts must be a traditional golf shirt with a collar and sleeves. Shirts MUST be tucked in and hats MUST be worn properly; i.e., FORWARD! DENIM is NOT permitted.

ELIGIBILITY:

1. Sons and daughters of TPCC golf members may participate in the Junior Golf Program.

2. Juniors must be seven years of age by June 23, 2010.

3. Juniors may participate through the summer following their high school graduation.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Juniors must have their own equipment with a sufficient number of balls, tees, and a marker.

2. Parents must be available to walk with the juniors a minimum of two times per child or one time if child plays in 18-holers.

3. We recommend that juniors try to participate in our Junior Development Program in May. The charge is $20/session with each session limited to the first 20 juniors to sign up. You may sign-up for one or all of the sessions.

Junior Golf Spring Golf Sessions

To be eligible, the Junior Golfer must be at least seven years of age. The cost of each session will be $20/student/session and you may sign up for all or any of the sessions. Call the Pro Shop today, because each session has been limited to the first 20 students. This is a great way for junior Golfers to start the season on a good note. We will cover all the basics of putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play, iron play, fairway woods, and driver.

The Junior Golf morning begins with a 30 minute lesson for each group.  Juniors should arrive 10-15
minutes before the lesson to sign in at registration table and get their golf equipment ready
