Jamil Barqawi, CEC, Executive Chef

Jamil Barqawi is a graduate of Al-Petra Culinary Institute in Jordan. Jamil is a CEC with the American Culinary Federation and has over 15 years of experience as a CEC. He is an award winning chef, having received the DiRoNA Award as well as the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence and has made multiple appearances on television. Jamil is an expert in new American, Classical, new French, Mediterranean and Italian cuisines. Prior to joining us, he was the Executive Chef of Lochmoor Country Club in Grosse Pointe Woods.

With experience at Washtenaw Community College and other Ann Arbor area eateries, Lamont has proven himself an integral part of daily business at the Club. His personal time is spent as a father of two and at Powerhouse gym.
