About Us

Before Travis Pointe Country Club was built, this beautiful area was known as Omega Farms. Landowners Connie and Cliff Simmons envisioned developing one of the premier country clubs in Michigan, and in June of 1976, construction began.

In September 1977, the Clubhouse opened, and the architect, Bill Farrand, was also the first President, having been appointed by the Simmons to oversee their vision.

Mike Johns was the first elected President, followed by Jay Knutsen, who served the last several months of his term as President of the "member-owned Club." George Lindstrom was the first President elected under the new member-owned structure. To date, Travis Pointe Country Club remains member-owned.

Over the years, Travis Pointe has earned the reputation of being a first-class championship venue. To its credit, the Club has played host to the LPGA Volvik Championship, and numerous tournaments, including the EPSON Tour, the Michigan Amateur Championship, the US Mid-Amateur Qualifying, and numerous US Open and US Senior Open qualifiers.

The Club’s unique combination of time-honored tradition and modern facilities allows TPCC members and their guests to enjoy superior experiences in a friendly and gracious atmosphere.
